Strong ruby red with bright reflections. Pleasantly vinous with intense aromas of red fruit, hints of cherry, and spices on the finish. Full and fruity, fresh and soft, excellent drinking, enhances the typical Barbera fragrance. The tannins are sweet and silky, giving a pleasant and persistent finish. The characteristic structure of Barbera makes it an excellent wine when young, but allows it to stand over time, in fact it is good for brief aging.
It is enhanced with appetizers, rich first courses and important meat dishes. Excellent also with light dishes and salads. It is ideal on warm summer evenings when young and served slightly cool
Sustainably grown vineyards located in Agliano Terme and Calosso.
Hand harvested in September followed by soft destemming and skin-contact maceration over 10-12 days.
Following the first racking, malolactic fermentation begins. Aging in stainless steel 4-5 months. After bottling, wine is held in the cellar until optimal refining is achieved.
